At WFEN, we celebrate the incredible women driving biodiversity conservation and sustainable enterprise worldwide. On the 8th of March, we especially honor the women of COFE. The dedicated cotton pickers, community mobilizers, and women-led Board who are at the heart of regenerative agriculture in India’s Satpura-Pench Corridor.

From working in the fields to leading community initiatives, these women are shaping the future of sustainable cotton, stewarding natural resources, and ensuring that farming coexists with wildlife.

We would also like to take a moment to celebrate all of the incredible women we work with and have partnered with at WFEN. We’re thrilled to welcome Magiktea to the Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network (WFEN)! This partnership underscores Magiktea's commitment to environmental sustainability and ethical sourcing practices. Magiktea is now sourcing its palo azul from Cañada de la Virgen, the first Wildlife Friendly Certified® reserve in Mexico: a breathtaking 5,000-hectare sanctuary dedicated to biodiversity conservation and regenerative agriculture.

Nestled in the heart of Guanajuato, Mexico, Cañada de la Virgen is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including the Mexican long-nosed bat, Montezuma quail, and puma. This initiative is transforming cotton farming in the Satpura-Pench Corridor, as COFE Producer Company Ltd smallholder farmers with the expertise of @srijan_india are embracing regenerative agriculture. By restoring soil health, improving water retention, and eliminating harmful pesticides, these farmers are creating a future where biodiversity and cotton cultivation can thrive together.
